Update Eviction Number

This task is used to update the eviction number that was entered for a household during the File for Eviction task. Some states assign each eviction a formal number used to track the eviction through the courts. The eviction number is included on the Eviction History report in Reports, and also as a merge field (eviction_nbr) in the Data for Legal source document. For more information about documents, refer to the System Administration > Maintain Documents topic.

To update an eviction number, follow these steps:

1.         Go to Occupancy and Compliance Detail > Legal Tab > Tasks > Update Eviction Number.

or

Go to Household Detail > Legal Tab > Update Eviction Number.

2.         Enter or select the effective date for the change to the eviction number.

3.         Enter the new eviction number.

4.         Enter a description of why the eviction number is being changed.

5.         Click Next.

6.         If you have enabled attachments for legal transactions in System Administration > Maintain Lookup Tables - Business Constants, you can scan and attach any files to this legal transaction.

7.         Click Next.

8.         Select the documents that you want to print.

Note

Documents in the "Eviction: Miscellaneous" document group in System Administration > Maintain Documents - Maintain Document Groups are included in the list of available documents.

 

9.         To preview the documents, click Preview.

10.    To print the documents, click Finished.
