Task is used to add an attachment from either a file or a scanned document. Attachments can be added to a Household Note, Community Note, Legal Transaction, MINC Files, Household Transaction, Fixed Assets or an Accounts Payable Invoice, or a Work Order or Inspection. For each of these you can attach a document (Word, Excel, PDF, JPG, text file, etc.) or from a scanned document if you have a scanner or FAX machine attached to your computer. You define where you want to allow attachments at System Administration > Maintain Lookup Tables - Business Constants.
You are limited by file size for attachments from a file or a scan. You will receive an error if the size of the attachment exceeds 1 MB.
If you wish to implement Document Imaging and the associated electronic storage of these images, please contact Bostonpost Client Support at myMRI or contact a Client Support Analyst directly at (877) 579-8896 to learn about rates and how to get started. To be able to use a scanner or other peripheral, you need to navigate to File > Scanner Setup to select that device.
