Rents an amenity to a household, creating balance schedule to bill the monthly charge and sets up the security deposit, if a security deposit has been defined for the Amenity.
Amenities can be rented from a different community from which the household resides, and amenities can be rented to households are not currently living in any community.
Amenities have been created for the community at Community Detail > Facilities and there are vacant (unused) amenities available to be rented.

Enter or select the Effective Date. The date the amenity is first rented to the household.
Click Next.
Select a community from the drop down list from which the amenity is to be rented from.
Select an Amenity from the list to be rented to the household. If there are no amenities available, you will get the message "No vacant amenities were found for the selected community and effective date". If you have selected the correct community, then just close the task as you can not continue until an amenity becomes available.
Click Next.
Accept the Amenity Charge or select to Override Rent and enter the rent to be charged and the gross potential for the amenity.
Click Next.
Select any documents that are available on the Print Options tab and click Finished to complete the task.
You can also use the Select All and Deselect All links to help in making your selections.
Documents included in the "Rent Amenity" Document Group (System Administration > Maintain Documents - Maintain Document Groups) will be included in the list of available documents.
Click Finished.
Once you have successfully rented an amenity to a household, that amenity will appear on the Household Detail > Additional Info tab and the scheduled item and any open items for the charge will appear on the Household Detail > Accounting > Receivables tab. If a deposit amount had been defined for the amenity, the new security deposit will be on the Household Detail > Accounting > Deposits tab.
