This task is used to add a vacancy special claim for a unit, in order to include it on a Schedule of Special Claims, to be printed and mailed to HUD/Contract Administrator for approval.
A unit will only appear in the Pending Activity on the Occupancy and Compliance Detail General Tab as a Potential Special Claim when all HUD requirements for a valid vacancy special claim have been met.
The Maintenance End Date (the day before the unit was available to be rented again) must have been entered on the Unit Turnovers Tab in the Occupancy and Compliance Detail or Community Detail.
A claim will not be valid until you have refunded any Security Deposits that were on hand on the Household's Household Detail > Accounting > Deposits Tab.
The task will only appear in the Tasks list when you highlight the eligible unit in the Pending Activity list.
