This is the second step in transferring a household from one unit to another within the same community. Prior to scheduling a transfer using this task, you must have completed the Request Transfer task for the household.
Note
If a future swap exists for the household, you will need to contact Bostonpost Support to undo the swap before you can schedule the unit transfer.
To schedule a transfer, follow these steps:
1. Go to Household Detail > General Tab > Tasks > Schedule Transfer.
or
Go to Occupancy and Compliance > Manage Vacancies Tab > Tasks > Schedule Transfer.
2. In the Schedule Transfer & Turnover Information area, complete the fields:
▪ Move-In Date—Enter or select the move-in date for the new unit.
▪ Actual Out Date—Enter the date on which the tenant vacated the old unit. Normally, this should be the day prior to the move-in to the new unit.
3. Click Next.
4. On the Select Unit tab, in the Choose a transfer waitlist area, select a waitlist.
5. In the Choose an available unit area, select an available unit.
6. Click Next.
7. If there are any changes in household composition or assets, or if income and expenses need to be reported, select the check box on the Household and Income Changes tab.
8. If you select the check box on the Household and Income Changes tab, click Yes on the message that appears.
Note
With 202D, if you select a date other than the first of the month for the UT, and report changes in household composition, income, and/or expenses, the system will create an IT.
9. On the Schedule Transfer tab, the household's new unit information and scheduled transfer dates are displayed.
10. In the Waitlist Comment field, enter any additional information about the waitlist or the household.
11. In the New Turnover Note field, enter any additional information about the turnover between units.
12. Click Next. A Results Window appears, which indicates if the task passed or failed. If the task failed, you may need to make a correction. If the task passed, click Close.
13. On the References tab, review the household's references and their contact information. On this tab, you can also add and remove references.
14. Click Next.
15. On the Print Options tab, select any documents you want to print by select the check box next to the document name.
Note
Documents included in the "Transfer Household: Schedule Transfer" Document Group in System Administration > Maintain Documents - Maintain Document Groups will be included in the list of available documents.
16. If you are selecting a document to print, specify the number of copies of each document. You can preview many of the documents in Microsoft Word, where you can also make any changes and print the document.
