This task is used to fully transfer a household from one unit to another within the same community.
If the community has more than one Funding Program Group where the only difference between the groups is non-financial (i.e. - a second similar funding program group was created to support different accounting than the original funding program group, or a second funding program group was created to support a second waitlist), you will be able to transfer a household between units that are in the different groups. This allows you to transfer a household into the different funding program group that doesn't require an initial or enroll certification.
The household must be living in the community and transferring into another unit within the same community.
For Funding Program Groups with a Tax Credit Funding Program, transfers are allowed between BINs if you have selected the parameter ”Are you treating this Building as part of a multiple building project for the purpose of section 42?” on the Community Detail > Contract tab, the placed in service date for the two units involved in the transfer is the same, and the household being transferred is not counted in the 140% layer. When the transfer takes place, the counted layer of the ”out unit” will be set to the prior counted layer of the ”in unit”.
If the community has multiple HUD contracts and the new unit is in a different contract from the old unit you cannot transfer the household - you must complete a Move-Out and Move-In.
Transfers are allowed for HUD tenants who are over-income and terminated.
If a future swap exists for the household you will need to contact Bostonpost Client Support at myMRI or contact a Client Support Analyst directly at (877) 579-8896 to undo the swap before you can schedule the Unit Transfer.

A. Yes, you can Undo the Schedule step of the transfer.
Q. How can I change the date of the transfer?
A. You can Redo the Schedule step of the transfer to go through the schedule screen again and select new dates.
Q. How can I change the unit for the transfer?
A. You will need to Undo the Schedule step of the transfer first, then schedule it for the correct unit.
