You can use this task to recalculate a special claim that was added using the Add New Special Claim task. The changes you make by using this task can be reflected on the HUD claim form.
Note
The claim can only be recalculated if it has not been included in a Schedule of Special Claims for Mailing. If the schedule has been created but not yet mailed, you can use the Delete Schedule of Special Claims for Mailing task, and then recalculate the claim.
To recalculate a special claim, follow these steps:
1. Go to Unit Detail > Special Claims Tab.
2. Highlight the claim that you want to recalculate.
3. Go to Tasks > Recalculate Special Claim.
Note
You can also recalculate a special claim by going to Occupancy and Compliance Detail > TRACS Tab > Special Claims Tab.
4. The HUD form is displayed with any updated dates or amounts. To print the updated form, click the printer icon in the toolbar.
5. Click Finished.
