Use this task to create a new project. If multiple work orders or inspections are required for a reported problem or request, these work orders or inspections can be grouped together in a project. Independent work orders and inspections can continue to be closed as they are completed, while the project in which they are included will remain open until all of the work orders and inspections have been completed.

To create a new project, follow these steps:

1.         Go to Maintenance Detail > General Information > Create New Project.

or

Go to Maintenance Detail > Projects > Create New Project.

2.         In the Project Description field, enter a description of the project.

3.         To add work orders or inspections to the project, click Add Work. The Add Work to a Project window is the same as the Find Work popup.

4.         Enter search criteria to find the work orders or inspections that you want to add to the project.

5.         To exclude work orders or inspections that are already in a project, select the Exclude work that is part of a project check box.

6.         Select the work orders or inspections to add to the project.

7.         Click OK.

8.         Click Finished.
