This task is used to swap the tax credit layer for a household. You can use the Swap Layer task to swap the income layer for set aside programs, such as Tax Credit. To be eligible to swap, the tenant must be eligible for the new layer and the contract must not be below minimum for any layer other than the new layer for the household.
The household must be living in a unit and be counted in the Tax Credit program.

Enter the Effective Date of the layer swap.
Click Next.
Select a Funding Program for the household by checking the box.
Select a Layer by checking the box. The household's current counted layer is indicated for your reference.
Click Next.
Complete the Create Certification step to use overrides to complete the task successfully in regards to the compliance eligibility rules when an override is necessary.
Click Next.
An Overall Status window will pop up with a Passed or Failed message.
If it failed you may need to make a correction or contact Bostonpost Client Support at myMRI or contact a Client Support Analyst directly at (877) 579-8896 for assistance.
If it passed click Close.
Select any available documents you want to print by checking the box next to the document name.
You can also use the Select All and Deselect All links to help in making your selections.
Documents included in the "Swap Counted Layer" Document Group (System Administration > Maintain Documents - Maintain Document Groups) will be included in the list of available documents.
Specify the number of copies you want for each document.
You can preview many of the documents in Microsoft Word, make changes, and print them within Microsoft Word by clicking the preview icon.
Click Finished.
A pop-up will appear stating that you have successfully swapped the counted layer. Click OK.
