You can use this task to maintain the regular work hours of your employees. The information entered using this task defines the available work hours for the employee on the Maintenance Detail > General tab in the Schedule To-Do List Activity.
To maintain an employee's regular work hours, follow these steps:
1. Go to Employee Calendar > Regular Work Hours.
2. In the Employee list, select the employee whose work hours you want to maintain.
3. Go to Tasks > Maintain Regular Work Hours.
4. On the Regular Work Schedule for [employee name] grid, the blocks and the number of hours within each block are displayed.
Note
The number of blocks within a day is defined in System Administration > Maintain Lookup Tables - Business Constants, where you can select 1, 2, or 4 blocks per day.
The descriptions of appointment blocks are defined in System Administration > Maintenance Setup - Appointment Blocks. The short description for each appointment block is displayed in the Block column in this task.
5. For each work day, enter the number of hours in each block that the selected employee works.
Note
The number of hours in each block defaults to the value defined in System Administration > Maintenance Setup - Appointment Blocks.
You can enter any number less than the default number of hours for each block.
6. Click Finished. The information entered using this task defines the regular work hours available for the employee on the Maintenance Detail > General tab in the Schedule To-Do List Activity.
