Setting Up the Resident Check Integration

For communities that have active waitlists, you can set up the Resident Check integration for credit screening and background checks for the households and occupants on the waitlist.

Setting up the Resident Check integration consists of three separate processes:

1.         Install the revised Property Manager Version 9.2.48 installer.

2.         Open a Support case to have the feature activated in your database.

3.         Set up the export and reports for the Resident Check integration.

Installing the Revised Bostonpost 9.2.48 Update

To install the revised Bostonpost 9.2.48 update, follow these steps:

1.         Go to the Bostonpost Property Manager Updates website.

2.         In the row labeled Property Manager version 9.2.48 Installs, click the EXE Files link.

3.         On the Property Manager Install page, in the row labeled Property Manager 9.2.48, click the Click Here To Install link. The pm_9.2.48_full.exe file is downloaded to your workstation.

4.         Open the pm_9.2.48_full.exe file.

5.         On the prompt that asks if you want to allow the program to make changes, click Yes. The InstallShield Wizard window appears.

6.         On the initial InstallShield Wizard window, click Next. The License Number Validation window appears.

7.         On the License Number Validation window, the following license number is in the entry field by default:

        031106036698551

If this number is not entered by default, enter the license number in the field as it is displayed here, and then click Validate.

8.         When a message appears confirming the license number is correct, click OK.

9.         On the License Number Validation window, click Next.

10.    On the Setup Type window, select the Complete option for the setup, and then click Next.

11.    When the installation is ready, click Install, and then the installation continues.

12.    When the installation is complete, click Finish.

Activating the Resident Check Feature

After you have run the updated installer, you must contact MRI Global Client Support to activate the Resident Check feature in your database. You can contact MRI Global Client Support by opening a Support case on the myMRI Client Portal or by calling (877) 579-8896.

Setting Up the Export and Reports for the Resident Check Integration

Note

Prior to setting up the Resident Check integration using the steps below, you must complete the following:

         Go to the Bostonpost Property Manager Updates website and install the revised Property Manager Version 9.2.48 installer.

         After installing the revised update, MRI Global Client Support must activate the feature in your database. For assistance activating the feature, open a Support case on the myMRI Client Portal or by calling (877) 579-8896.

 

To set up the Resident Check integration, follow these steps:

1.         Go to System Administration > Export Setup.

2.         Go to Tasks > Create New Export.

3.         On the Create New Export tab, complete the following fields and options for the Resident Check export:

        Community—Select the community for which you want to set up the Resident Check export.

        Export Type—Select ResidentCheck.

        Export URL—Enter the export URL provided by Resident Check.

        Export Portfolio Name—Enter the export portfolio name. The export portfolio name is the community ID followed by the database name, separated by a hyphen.

Example

If the community ID is 9, and the database name is BPPM, the export portfolio name would be 9-BPPM.

 

        Active—Select this check box to make the export active.

4.         When you have completed the fields and options, click Finished.

5.         Go to System Administration > Maintain Lookup Tables.

6.         On the Maintain Lookup Tables tab, in the Lookup Table to Maintain field, select Resident Screening Reports.

7.         In the Export Portfolio (Account) column, enter the export portfolio name. The export portfolio name is the community ID followed by the database name, separated by a hyphen. This value must match the value that you entered in the Export Portfolio Name field in Step 7.

8.         In the Report Name (Package) column, enter the value of 1.

9.         Click Save.
