Enhancements

Community Income Limits Override Report

In Reports in Bostonpost Property Manager, the new Community Income Limits Override report is now available in the Community Reports folder, which can be accessed by expanding the Standard Reports folder. The Community Income Limits Override report can be run as a configurable report for communities that already have income limit overrides, and is intended as a supplement to the new Income Limit Overrides Import tool.

Note

For more information about the Income Limit Overrides Import tool, refer to the "Income Limit Overrides Import Tool" enhancement in these release notes.

When run as a configurable report, the Community Income Limits Override report can be exported to Microsoft Excel as a spreadsheet that displays information about the selected communities for which income limit overrides have been entered, the applicable funding programs and layers, the current income limit overrides in the database, as well as blank cells for the corresponding new income limits for the overrides. In Excel, in the blank cells for the new income limits, users can enter the income limit overrides that they want to use for their communities in Bostonpost.

Note

When entering the income limit overrides on the Excel spreadsheet, all of the columns that are generated by the system for the report must remain in place, and users cannot add additional columns to the report.

In addition, for each override, the user must enter the start date of the new income limit override. This date must be after the start date of the current income limit override that is being replaced. When the spreadsheet is imported into Bostonpost, the system automatically sets the end date of the previous entry to one day before the new limit's start date.

Finally, for the Excel spreadsheet to be successfully imported into Bostonpost, the spreadsheet must be saved as an .xls file.

When the new income limits have been entered in Excel, users can then import the spreadsheet into Bostonpost using the new Income Limit Overrides Import tool.

For more information about this report, refer to the "Running the Community Income Limits Override Report" topic.

Income Limit Overrides Import Tool

For importing income limit overrides into Bostonpost, in Property Manager > Client Service Tools > Import Tool, the new Import Income Limits type is now available in the Import Type field. When this import type is selected, users can then click the Find File icon to find and select the Excel spreadsheet that contains the income limit overrides that they want to import. When the Excel spreadsheet has been selected, the view displays the data from the spreadsheet for additional review. After the new income limits have been verified, the user can then click the Import Data button to import the overrides.

After the income limit overrides have been successfully imported, users can review the new income limits for the funding program by going to Community > Program Info, clicking the Income Levels link in the Funding Program Detail area, and then selecting the program in the Funding Program field.

For more information about this import tool, refer to the "Importing Income Limit Overrides" topic.
