Running the Community Income Limits Override Report

When new income limit overrides are required to override those that are currently associated with the funding programs for your communities, you can run the Community Income Limits Override report as a configurable report to create a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet on which you can enter the new income limit overrides, which can then be imported into your Bostonpost database.

Note

This report is intended for configuring and importing income limit overrides to replace existing overrides in the database. This process is not intended for adding new income limits to the database or updating overrides that have previously expired.

To run the Community Income Limits Override report, follow these steps:

1.         Go to Reports.

2.         Expand the Standard Reports folder, and then expand the Community Reports folder.

3.         Select Community Income Limits Override Report.

4.         Click the Configurable Reporting button.

Note

The Community Income Limits Override report has been designed to be run as a configurable report and cannot be run by clicking the Open Selected Report button.

5.         On the Maintain Report Parameters window, in the Parameters area, in the Filter By field, select Community.

6.         On the Maintain Report Parameters window, in the Filter Item field, select the community for which you want to run the report. To run the report for all available communities, select the <All Communities> option.

7.         Click OK.

8.         On the Community Income Limits Override Report Configuration tab, click the Add All Columns button. All of the available columns for the report appear in the list on the right, which represents the columns to be included on the report.

Note

Because all of the available columns must be included on this report, MRI Software recommends saving this configuration as a template for subsequent use.

9.         To export the report as an Excel spreadsheet, click the Export to Excel button. The resulting spreadsheet includes all of the fields that have been included on the report, as well as blank cells for the new income limits.

10.    On the spreadsheet in Excel, review the current income limit overrides that are configured in the database.

11.    To configure the new income limit overrides, complete the following blank columns for the funding programs for which the new overrides will apply:

New Effective Date—Enter the effective date of the new income limit override.

Example

When the spreadsheet is imported into Bostonpost, for each new income limit override, the system ends the previous income limit to one day before the date that is specified in the New Effective Date column for a funding program.

If you enter April 19, 2018 as the new effective date for an income limit override, when imported, the system will end the previous income limit on April 18, 2018.

New HH1 through New HH8—Enter the new income limits for the funding programs.

12.    Save the spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel in a location where you can find it for the import process.

Note

To ensure that the spreadsheet can be imported into Bostonpost properly, the spreadsheet must be saved in .xls format.
