This task is used to place a temporarily off-line vacant unit on-line.
The unit must be vacant and off-line.
If the unit is temporarily off-line you will be able to schedule a tenant to move into it, using the Move-In Household task on the Household Detail > General Tab. Scheduling the Move-In will place the unit on-line again.
An Offline unit can be brought online with an effective date less than a scheduled move-in date for the unit. This allows you to bring a unit online, for example, when you have received the Certificate of Occupancy even if there is already a scheduled move-in.

Enter the Effective Date.
An Offline unit can be brought online with an effective date less than a scheduled move-in date for the unit. This allows you to bring a unit online, for example, when you have received the Certificate of Occupancy even if there is already a scheduled move-in.
Click Next.
The current counted group for the unit will be displayed. Select No Change to counted group or Change the counted group and layers.
Please note if you are going through this task for the purpose of tracking vacancy because the Certificate of Occupancy was issued, you must select "Change the counted group and layers" and count the unit in the funding program group and layer of your choice (if applicable).
If you selected No Change in step 3 skip to step 5.
If you selected Change in step 3 select a Program Group, Contract/BIN, and Counted Layer, if applicable, then click Next.
Verify the Unit Rent amounts are correct or make any necessary changes.
Click Finished.
An Overall Status window will pop up with a Passed or Failed message.

If it passed click Close.
