Modify Exempt from Late Fee

This task is used to modify whether or not the household is exempt from a late fee.  If Late Fees are auto-assessed for the community (Community Detail > Rent tab, System Administration > Maintain Lookup Tables - Late Charge Method), exempting a household with this task will keep a late charge from being assessed against this household.

To Modify the Exempt from Late Fee Setting:

A banner will appear on the top of this screen indicating if the household is or is not currently exempt from a Late Fee.

1. Exempt from Late Fee: If this box is checked you can uncheck it to make the household eligible to assessed a Late Fee.  If this box is not checked, you can check it to exempt the household from Late Fees.

2. Add Note: Check this box if you want the displayed note to be added to the Notes tab of the household.  Once selected, you can modify the default note.

3. Click Finished.

   • Each time this task is run, an entry will be written to the household log viewable from the View Household Activity Log task with a comment that will be either "Exempt from late fee ON" or Exempt from late fee OFF".
