Merge Businesses

You can use this task to merge two businesses. This task is useful when more than one business record has been added in Property Manager for one business. Using this task, you can merge the two businesses together, keeping all of the activity from both businesses under one of the businesses. If you want to merge more than two businesses, you can complete the task multiple times until you have merged all of the businesses into one business, which has all of the activity.

To merge businesses, follow these steps:

1.         Go to Business Detail > General.

2.         Go to Tasks > Merge Businesses.

3.         In the Select Business to REMOVE area, enter information in the Business Name, City, and State fields, and then click Search to find the business to remove after its activity is merged into another business.

4.         Select the business to remove.

Note

If you remove a business, the associated phone numbers, notes, contacts, and address information are also removed.

 

5.         In the Select Business to USE INSTEAD area, enter information in the Business Name, City, and State fields, and then click Search to find the business to use and to which to add the activity from the removed business.

6.         Select the business to use instead.

Note

To ensure consistency between the two businesses, you may want to make sure that the business you selected to use instead has the correct phone numbers, notes, contacts, and address information.

 

7.         Click Replace.
