You can use this task to delete a GL account.
Note
Only GL accounts that are not assigned to any charge types or voucher sources and have otherwise not been used in Property Manager can be deleted.
If a GL account has any activity, you can make it inactive using the Modify GL Account task.
To delete a GL account, follow these steps:
1. Go to System Administration > Accounting Setup.
2. In the Accounting View Option area, select GL Account Setup.
3. From the Chart of Accounts field, select the chart of accounts that includes the GL account that you want to delete.
4. In the GL Accounts area, highlight the GL account that you want to delete.
5. Go to Tasks > Delete GL Account.
6. A dialog box appears, which asks "Are you sure you wish to delete the selected GL Account?" To confirm the deletion, click Yes.
