When completing an Annual Recertification for a terminated USDA household, the resulting USDA certification now displays the correct certification type when included in a MINC export file. With this change, the export file is no longer rejected when transmitted to MINC.

Household Detail > Create Certification Wizard

The latest TICs for Maine (ME) and Iowa (IA) include a new section in PART VII called STUDENT STATUS, which requires student explanation information for the HOME program. Bostonpost Property Manager now offers a new HOME Student Explanation field on the Create Transaction and Rebuild Transaction tabs in which users can select student explanations for households in the HOME program.

From this new field, users can select one of the following options:

▪            Dependent living with Parent—Select if the occupant is a dependent living with a guardian.

▪            Over age 23/24 or older—Select if the occupant is over the age of 23 or 24.

▪            Veteran—Select if the occupant is a veteran.

▪            Married—Select if the occupant is married.

▪            Have dependent—Select if the occupant has a dependent.

▪            Independent Student—Select if the occupant meets the US Department of Education's definition of an Independent Student.

▪            Disabled/receiving Sec 8 assistance prior to 11/30/05—Select if the occupant is disabled and has been receiving Section 8 assistance since before 11/30/2005.

Reports > Configurable Reporting

In Configurable Reporting, when updating a saved template for a report, the system now saves the changes to the template. Previously, when accessing the template on which changes were made, the original columns and fields would populate on the report.

Household Detail > Transactions Tab

For the Maine (ME) TIC, when a household has more than 11 recorded assets, the system now creates an overflow page on which the additional assets are recorded.

Accounting > Payments > Tasks > Start New Payment Batch from File

When using the Start New Payment Batch from File task to import a new payment batch using standard lockbox formatting, users can now modify the information in the Batch Description, Payment Method, and Batch Date fields on the Payment Batch Detail tab.

Community Detail > Batch Printing by Community

The Maine (ME) TIC now includes the names of all household members and the correct corresponding income and asset information when printed from the Batch Printing by Community tab.

On the Maine (ME) TIC, the Yes check box is now selected in Part V. Total Annual Household Income From All Sources if a household is counted in the 140% layer for a State Tax Credit program.

If an Annual Recertification or Interim Recertification results in a termination that is transmitted to HUD, and afterwards it is shown that the household had different income, assets, or expenses on the recertification that would qualify them for the subsidy, users can now create an Initial Certification for the household using the same date as the Annual or Interim Recertification.

The income limit of 140% no longer appears in Part V of Tax Credit TICs for certifications other than Annual Recertifications. This data now only appears on a TIC if it is an Annual Recertification.

On the Missouri (MO) TIC, the Disability Status section now displays the complete information for guidelines and requirements, including the statement which reads, "The tenant must initial this area."

The LIHTC Income and Expense Worksheet now displays the correct information from the Alternate Tax Credit income calculator if the household was previously associated to a Funding Program Group that is no longer valid. Previously, in this situation, some sections on the worksheet would be labeled "Not Enabled."

On the California (CA) Alt TIC, in Part V. Determination of Income Eligibility, the Deeper Income Limit field has been added. This field displays the income limit for the State Tax Credit Layer.

The following updates have been made to the Maine (ME) TIC to maintain compliance:

▪            The date on the footers has been updated to reflect the date of the most recent revision, 10/11/16.

▪            In PART VII. STUDENT STATUS (HOME only), the following options have been added as student exceptions:

▪            8. Is classified as Vulnerable Youth per Docket No. FR-5969-N-01.

▪            9. The individual is a student for whom a financial aid administrator makes a documented determination of independence by reason of other unusual circumstances per Docket No. FR-5969-N-01.
